- How
do I apply?
Please apply at least six weeks prior to the date you wish to start. Fill out the Student
Application Form and calculate the payment due with your application,
using the Registration
Checklist. Send the application, the checklist and the payment by
air mail. Upon approval of your application, GGLS will notify you of
your acceptance. Make an appointment with the director for a placement
exam and to discuss your course of study at least one week before
you wish to begin classes.
- When
can I enter your school?
It is best to start classes at the beginning of each session. The
Calendar lists all our sessions
year round. However, if you are studying for only a short time or are
unable to come on the first day of a session, you may enter the program
at any time if space is available. Some classes fill quickly and may
not be available for those who begin classes after a session has started.
- How
much does your school cost?
Your tuition costs will depend upon how many class hours (1 to 4)
you take per day and on the length of time you plan to study. Your school
costs consist of the tuition, the one time registration fee, and your
book costs which vary for each class. See the Price
List.
- Where
are you located?
We are located in Campbell, California which is near San Jose, in
the heart of Silicon Valley, and approximately 50 miles south of San
Francisco. Here is a map of our location.
- How
long do I have to study?
International student (I-20) programs are for a minimum of 6 weeks. The minimum duration of a non-I-20 program is 1 week.
- How
long does it take to process an international student* application?
After we receive a completed application, all the necessary support
documentation and payment, it takes 3-5 business days to process the
paperwork and mail your acceptance documents.
- What
time are classes?
Classes run from 9 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Each class
hour is 50 minutes of class time with a 10 minute break. Lunch is 40
minutes.
- Do
I receive a certificate at the end of the program?
Students receive a California Association of Language Schools' Certificate
of Achievement at the end of their studies.
