Golden Gate Language Schools offers a variety of accommodations for international students and professionals depending upon their budget and living preferences. We have standard homestay and executive homestay accommodations, which provide the ideal way to find out about American living and culture, as well as convenient and comfortable hotels for the business and leisure traveler. To apply for a host family you must fill out question #20 of the Student Application form and send in the required fee. Five to six weeks advance notice is required to find a suitable home. When the coordinator has selected a family for you, you will receive a written confirmation.

STANDARD HOMESTAY

The best way to practice your English and learn about American culture is to live with an American family. You can experience the customs, foods, sports, music and all those things that make up the "American way of life." A host family can be a couple or a single adult. They may have children or they may not. Many of our families have been actively involved in our program for a number of years. All of the families have been carefully chosen because of their desire to provide students with a pleasant study abroad experience. Each home has been visited and approved for our service by the GGLS coordinator.

These accommodations are highly recommended for students that want to reinforce their English skills and learn about American culture. All host families are carefully chosen for the Executive Homestay program. These are a select group of host families that are experienced and offer superior accommodations and meals. As in the Standard Homestay program, a host family can be a couple or a single adult with or without children. However, in the Executive Homestay program, you have more opportunities to discuss business and current events in a friendly environment. Our executive host families live in larger homes of a high standard.
