Welcome
to Golden Gate Language School's web site. Our mission is to offer English as a Second Language instruction to interested learners from all over the world and from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
We hope to meet you soon. |
Learning English takes place inside and outside the classroom. At Golden
Gate Language School, we offer students the best of both: excellent
instruction and a central, exciting location.
We are
located in Campbell, in the heart of Silicon Valley, in a suburb of
San
Jose named one of the safest big cities in America. The mild
climate and proximity to San Francisco, several major universities,
and the Pacific Ocean offer students the opportunity to enjoy many
world class cultural and recreational activities.
The school
is at the intersection of San Tomas Expressway and Hamilton Avenue
and is easily accessible by car, with free parking on the premises.
There is also a major bus stop in front of the school which connects
to the train and light rail stations.
Facilities
Golden Gate Language School offers students modern classrooms and a well-equipped lunchroom facility with complimentary coffee and tea. In addition, there is a computer laboratory for e-mail, internet, and computer-aided instruction. Students also have free wireless internet access. The administrative offices are also conveniently located at the school.

All
of our English language instructors are highly qualified teaching
professionals. Most hold masters degrees or certificates for teaching
English as a Second Language (TESOL), and many speak one or more
other languages. All have either lived or traveled outside of the
United States and are sensitive to the problems one experiences
in a foreign country. |
Cultural
& Social Activities
Please
go to our new Social Activities
section to find out about current social events at GGLS!
 |
The
cultural and social events of the school are not only fun, but also
provide great learning experiences for the students. GGLS offers
many social and sports activity clubs as well as planned one day
excursions. |
|
Examples
of past field trips include San Francisco, Monterey, the Napa
Valley, Disneyland and Santa Cruz. There are also spontaneous
outings such as movies, hikes or bowling, and each session concludes
with a potluck lunch and graduation ceremony. |
|
 |
Some
of the school's annual events include the summer picnic, the Halloween
costume party, the ski trip, the Thanksgiving dinner and the talent
show. |
